Lots & Lots & Lots

January 14, 2011

Two years ago we replaced our gutters with LeafGuard gutters. We did sign a piece of paper indicating there could be more icicles then with a regular gutter. Should have asked more questions. The top photo is the front of our house. The red circle is the area right above our front steps. It is also right above my bathroom. I will periodically go in and knock down the icicles that I can reach. I do this for two reason – 1) I am afraid that if they fall they might hurt someone and 2) when the sun is out they drip on the front steps and freeze! ARRGGGGHHH!

wow. Definitely lots and lots of icicles! I have an awning that drips onto the steps and freezes. I already took a serious fall once. Not fun.

I think Tony said it just right – pretty to look at, but….

On the up side, it gave you a great shot for this theme!

Icicles make the perfect murder weapon in that the evidence eventually goes away. I will be looking at your crime statistics in the following weeks, for you have lots and lots and lots of weapons at hand!

Wow! I love icicles but I know what you mean about them being a pain in the you know what. We have dripping over our basement door and have to watch our step there too. Also in the spring you get water dripped down your back!

They do look like weapons, no matter how pretty. A nasty winter lots of places it seems. Hope these and especially the ones by the steps go away soon.
