Green – 132

January 27, 2011

So what else is new? It snowed again last night. We got an additional 12+ inches. Setting too many records. I was out removing snow from something when the sun broke through the clouds. I liked the light and hope that I have managed  to capture a little bit of that light. The only place we see any green outside now is the evergreen trees!

It is a really nice picture… glad you took advantage of this light. I also like the way you have the tree trunks in the foreground and the unbroken snow cover.

I was probably out there taking my photos at the same time, during that brief spell of sunlight and blue sky in mid-morning. I like your composition–that one trnk that extends all the way breaks up the snow field. The way the snow is almost spattered on the trunk and the evergreens gives is a watercolor effect.
